Self-drive game viewing
Take your own 4x4 out along our network of farm routes and see what the bush reveals — from grazing giraffe to the birdlife around the waterhole.
4x4 routes
A vehicle built for sand and gravel is essential to reach Rhino Ridge, and once you're here, that same vehicle opens up the whole farm to you.
Hiking
Set out on foot along our scenic walking trails and experience the Kalahari at ground level — the smell of camelthorn after rain, the tracks in the sand, the sheer quiet of it.
Sundowners on the dunes
Pack a drink, drive up to the dunes, and watch the sun go down over the Kalahari. It's a self-catering outing — bring what you need and make an evening of it.
Birdwatching
From spoonbills and ibises around the water to the smaller bush birds darting through the camelthorn, Rhino Ridge is a rewarding stop for birders of any level.
Around the farm
Relax at the pool or the boma and let the wildlife come to you — our waterhole regularly draws game right into view of the main area.
Please note: Rhino Ridge is only accessible by 4x4 vehicle, due to gravel, sand and rocky roads on the approach and throughout the farm.
One group. One family. One farm — all to yourselves.
The waterhole draws the game right into view — you don't have to go looking for the bush. It comes to you.
