The Chalets
4 chalets · 2 guests per chalet
Our four chalets are simple, comfortable, and quietly tucked into the bush. Each one has 2 x ¾ beds, an en-suite bathroom with a shower, and a walk-in wardrobe — everything you need for a restful stay between days spent out on the farm.
The Family Unit
1 unit · sleeps 4–6
Our four stone-and-thatch chalets are simple, comfortable, and quietly tucked into the bush. Each one has a double bed, an en-suite bathroom with a shower, and a walk-in wardrobe — everything you need for a restful stay between days spent out on the farm.
What's Included
As for electricity, we rely solely on solar power. This means no hairdryers or other high‑consumption devices, though you can charge your phone. Our kitchen is equipped with a fridge, freezer, and a gas stove (with coffee plungers), but no microwaves or other electrical appliances. Hot water is provided by traditional 'donkies' — wood‑fired water heaters.

Good to know before you travel
Rhino Ridge is only accessible by 4x4 vehicle — the approach roads and farm tracks include gravel, sand and rocky sections that a standard sedan cannot manage. Please plan your vehicle accordingly, or speak to us in advance if you need advice on the route.
We host one group or family at a time, so please book early, especially over peak travel periods — availability is genuinely limited to a single booking per date.
